Anemone's experience
"I signed up because I love to paint, but I had the conviction that I didn't have time for it. I told myself that it takes a long time to paint and that it's a luxury I just didn't have time for.
During the mentoring it dawned on me how wrong that is! It really doesn't have to take more than a few minutes to make a drawing, or 30 minutes to create an entire painting! And painting is something that gives so much joy to my life, so it's definitely worth prioritizing for me.
Anastasia really tailors the mentoring to the person in front of her. For me, that meant we focused on the more technical drawing the first few weeks, especially on light and shadow. Next, we worked on techniques in watercolor, but especially also on how I can use my intuition and my emotions in my paintings.
Every week I got new exercises that I took part in choosing, which made it feel relevant to me and my development. In general, I took part in deciding the direction, which felt a bit crazy at first, but as the weeks went by, it felt more and more natural, and it definitely gave me an increased sense of ownership and motivation.
Throughout the process, I got feedback on everything I drew and painted, it was a really big help. It helped me become better every time I started on a new artwork. Anastasia was always available if I had big or small questions, or if I needed a pep talk.
Throughout the process, we also had a lot of focus on my mindset and therefore my blockages. Having worked with my perfectionism and limiting beliefs regarding painting has also made a difference in other areas of my life, which has really been crazy to experience!
Having Anastasia as a mentor was a completely unique experience! I was pleasantly surprised at how much coaching I also got. It is definitely a huge help when it comes to having blockages on painting. I experienced a breakthrough when I had to paint a larger picture based on some smaller sketches that I was shown telepathically by my two horses. The painting that I ended up painting of my horses encapsulates for me why it was important that I signed up for the mentoring."
